Efflorescence, recognized as one of the most beautiful words in the English language, is a state of blooming, flowering, and development.
It is officially Spring, a season full of light rain, skies glistening, and inspiration. It is a time of new beginnings. I always find myself falling in love during this time...trips to the beach, pastel colors, hybrid weather. There's just something beautiful about the sun shining, after months of gray skies and cold winds, even though it never gets below 60 degrees in SoCal.
There are exactly 8 and a half weeks until school is out, 43 days to be specific. Everyone is working hard to finish the school year strong and patiently awaiting the summer... the most lively time of the year, but more on that later. Let's focus on now.
Rest this season. Get some ice-cream, ride your bike to the park, take strolls around your city, go mini-golfing. Get busy this season. Start a new project that is larger than yourself, apply for a job, volunteer at a retirement home -- elderly people have so many stories to tell and can teach you so much.-- However you decide to spend Spring, take advantage of this beautiful time in life when the universe seems to be on your side and the realization that there is so much more living left to do.
Happy first day of Spring.

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Everyone has a purpose.
From the mailman you see once a month to the trash man you may never see. Now, I'm not saying that everyone was made specifically for the careers they pursue; everyone has specific traits God instilled in them to use for his glory.
Since I was younger, I have always loved the art that is writing. It provides me with a feeling of empowerment and security. My words give me wings. So when I would come across people who hated writing, I was astonished. Then I met people who genuinely enjoyed history, cooking, mathematics, and other diverse subjects. I even met a boy who loved labeling everything and he now creates names for MAC lipsticks. Lol. It is beautiful witnessing someone who pursues what they truly enjoy, even if it seems like the weirdest thing ever.
Finding your purpose may come easy or it may come as the biggest challenge of your life. Sometimes your purpose isn't necessarily what you're naturally good at, I believe you'll know what your purpose is when you do something that makes your heart content and gives you a sense of fulfillment.
One of my biggest fears is complacency. I've seen, too often, adults who work, eat, sleep, and repeat-- for years. The spark is gone and all hope is lost. I hope you never settle for mediocrity, and if you have, I hope you have the courage to start over.
This blog was created for a purpose of inspiring you.
With love,
Michelle Lobato
